Let’s Work Together

Using motor learning and exercise physiology principles, we work together to empower you to practice efficiently and correctly so you can replicate the successes we have during our session. My ultimate goal is to teach you how to teach yourself.

Clinical Consultation Disclaimer

While I am a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the State of Michigan, this is my private consulting practice and not my clinical practice. The services I provide here are consultative and educational in nature and do not constitute formal clinical evaluation, diagnosis, or speech-language pathology therapy or rehabilitation.

Because of my clinical background and specialization in singing voice, there may be significant overlap between the approaches, exercises, and interventions used in consultation and those that may be used in a clinical setting. However, within this private consulting practice, these services are not being provided as speech-language pathology therapy and should not be considered a substitute for formal clinical care.

Having worked in a clinical setting for more than 25 years, I am very comfortable interfacing and collaborating with your clinical team when appropriate. This may include communication with your treating SLP, laryngologist, voice team, and/or voice teacher to help support continuity of care and informed decision-making.

I regularly work with singers who are experiencing or recovering from voice injury. My role is to provide specialized guidance related to singing voice function, training, and return-to-performance strategies while complementing, rather than replacing, appropriate clinical care.

Your vocal health is always my priority. If I believe that your symptoms or presentation warrant formal medical or speech-language pathology evaluation or treatment, I will recommend referral to an appropriate clinical provider before or alongside continued consultation.

“For over 25 years, I have specialized in training and rehabilitating elite singers, actors, performers, professional speakers, and executives. My background as a trained singer, teacher, and licensed speech pathologist, combined with specialty training in myofascial and manual therapeutic interventions, allows me to tailor my services in a holistic manner. My work is individualized and client-centered. As co-author of the top-selling vocal pedagogy book The Vocal Athlete, now entering its 3rd edition, I have created and collaborated on numerous workshops, masterclasses, and lectures covering all aspects of voice training, rehabilitation, and injury prevention.”
